Mindfulness processing groups offer evidence-based practices for anxiety and depression at an affordable price.
Mindfulness skills can help individuals break patterns like excessive rumination or self-blame, which often lead to panic attacks or chronic unhappiness. The group setting allows clients to talk with others with similar challenges about their past or present experiences and interactions which in turns helps clients to feel connected instead of isolated. Group members often experience tremendous growth by engaging with others in a 'judgment-free zone' and learn to become aware of how their thoughts and belief systems can influence behavior.
To cultivate mindful awareness of thoughts and feelings, we meditate every group session.
The role of the therapist as facilitator(s) will guide group clients to differentiate thoughts from feelings as well as processing emotions with a Mindfulness lens. The therapist may sometime share pscycho-educational material related to Attachment Theory and Functional Nutrition to enhance growth opportunities.
