Our Whole-Body Approach to Mental Wellness

Your mental health needs more than just focusing on your brain through therapy or medication. Mental health and brain function are dependent on many systems, messengers and nutrients throughout your whole body. The term ‘holistic’ means to focus on the whole, complete system and we do just that here at Flourish!

If you have been labeled ‘treatment resistant’ for depression or anxiety then you may be an ideal candidate to work with us to assess if there are nutrition and nutraceutical changes that could help to improve mood, energy, sleep, brain function and promote a sense of calm and ease.

You may have tried countless times to eat ‘healthy’ meals but can’t seem to stick to it. Or you feel like you are making healthy food choices but experience digestive issues, fatigue, or even unexplained weight gain. “What the heck am I going to eat” is a question that pops up in everyone’s mind, every day. It’s a hard question to answer since the answer is dependent on many factors like time, finances, logistics (such as how and where to get it or prepare it) cravings, and considering what foods and/or time of day are best for your unique digestive system. With so many factors to consider, figuring out how, what and when to eat can feel overwhelming, confusing, and sometimes hopeless.

Also, evidence continues to support how connected our gut (also called the enteric nervous system or ‘second brain’) is to our brain as well as our entire body.   Research has informed us that our gut and brains are carrying messages back and forth all day long so it would make sense that if we improve the gut environment (also known as the ‘microbiome’), we can influence the messages going up to the brain in a positive way, increasing the likelihood of having a balanced mood, more energy, and sharper brain cognition.  Changing the what, how and frequency of the food you eat can change your microbiome and improve your mental and physical health.

    Appointment fees range between $75 - $125

  • We know how hard it is to make dietary changes ! Angela Nash, certified health coach uses mindful techniques to help you implement the changes, one small step at a time.

    Coaching packages start at $200 for four 30-minute virtual sessions
