We respect this ground by cultivating a trusted connection through giving compassion, empathy and support. Our intention is for you to feel valued, acknowledged and in connection without feeling judged. This collaborative relationship are the arms that hold your growth, healing and wellness journey.

One of Flourish's most important values is creating a judgment-free space for our people so they can feel safe and protected from labels, judgment or comparisons. This judgment-free space can help you connect with your innate ability to hold and resolve intense and agonizing thoughts (such as 'nobody gets me'), emotions ( like feeling misunderstood or betrayed), or resistance to possible changes to food choices and sleeping habits that could significantly improve your mood.

You can choose to work with us with 1:1 individual sessions, either weekly or bi-weekly, within a therapy ‘process’ or support group, or participate in one of our educational and empowering webinars via Zoom.

 Working One-On-One

Working 1:1 with a therapist or nutritionist is ideal for people who are feeling stuck, curious, overwhelmed, hopeless or exhausted with where they are and need help to move forward in a healthy way. Since you have probably been experiencing some type of distress or discomfort for awhile, it will take time (usually a minimum of 6 months) to feel empowered, grounded and capable of better communication with important people in your life and shifting behavior patterns to align with your values and goals. Personal growth and wellness can be achieved through a trusted and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship because when our people feel safe to show all aspects of themselves without fear of judgment, they can then feel empowered to make mistakes, take risks, or revisit traumatic experiences with a compassionate companion, a new perspective and guidance towards healing.

 Group Therapy Services + Classes

Our group therapy services, along with time-limited group classes and webinars on nutrition, mindfulness, and wellness topics, are open to everyone but they are also ideally paired with individual sessions. While these group services can be an affordable and accessible way to learn more about yourself and develop sustainable life skills and habits, they are ideally paired with individual therapy whether it is with us or someone outside of Flourish!

When individual clients also participate in our group offerings to cultivate mindfulness and nourishing self-care habits and lifestyle changes, breaking through negative behaviors and thought patterns, exhaustion and chronic anxiety or depression can be easier and quicker than if only doing individual therapy.

Couples Therapy

Partnerships need effort, nurturing and collaboration in order to flourish. We understand the challenges in showing up for each other in a way that contributes to a healthy, thriving relationship and believe engaging in couples therapy can give you and your partner the tools you need to thrive.

All that is happening around us, to us or within us can be negatively impacting relationships.  All the flavors of stress such as financial, health, family, work can come disrupt partnerships because most do not know how to navigate the disruptions in a way that is productive and meaningful.

Couples therapy that brings in tenets of mindful awareness, attachment theory and empathetic listening can offer guidance and practices to help you find your way through the stress, challenges, miscommunications and “shoulds” .

Flourish! clients are open, ready to take care of themselves and curious about what's happening to them (“why does this keep happening to me?” or within them “why do I get so angry and defensive?”).

Our approach to mental health is ideally suited for those wanting answers, healing, growth and comfortable connection without relying on psychiatric medication, or wanting to taper off medication under supervision from their prescriber. We are also an ideal fit for those who have been labelled ‘treatment resistant’ or have felt that therapy in the past was not very helpful.

We serve all individuals over the age of 18 years including the BIPOC, LGTBQ+ and Latina/o communities. Flourish! values inclusivity and we provide judgment-free space for all to ensure you feel safe, heard and seen.

Clinical social worker, mindful human, and the founder of Flourish!

As someone who has been frustrated from feeling anxious since the age of five and engaged in conventional therapy and medication for a decade, I founded Flourish! with the intention to create a place where people could achieve well-being, ease and grace without spending years in therapy or trying different medication cocktails while experiencing many awful side effects and never feeling like ‘yourself’.
