Inga Overstreet

Therapist Intern
Depression, Anxiety, Life Transitions, LGBTQ+ Identities, Mindfulness

I am currently enrolled in a mindfulness-based Master’s Level Counseling program at Naropa University and am excited to be working directly with clients at Flourish! I’ve been in Austin for over 22 years and decided a few years ago to change careers and work with people to improve the quality of their lives. Mindfulness and meditation have been a part of my daily life for 20 years which makes the Naropa counseling program a perfect fit for the type of therapy I’d like to do with people.

I believe that building strong relationships with clients is key to them achieving their goals in therapy. Building a safe and non-judgmental space for us will be a priority along with collaborating with you to uncover deep healing and improved life satisfaction.

I am very interested in helping people with:

  • life transitions

  • grief

  • depression

  • anxiety

  • relationship challenges

  • LGBTQ+ identities

  • chronic pain / chronic illness / chronic fatigue

For me, my own mindfulness and meditation practice has resulted in me feeling more grounded and present, and it has made it easier to connect to others authentically. I enjoy practicing multiple types of mindfulness like walking meditations, nature walks, loving-kindness practices, and mindful eating.

My sliding scale is $30-$50 for 50-minute individual sessions

I am not accepting health insurance at this time.

Available for in-person and virtual sessions for Texas residents.

I am also co-facilitating a 4-week mindfulness and nervous system workshop in May.
